#What is Lazzy?

Lazzy is a floating AI agent for macOS. Unlike traditional chat apps that require switching windows and copy-pasting, Lazzy appears right at your cursor — in any application.

Think of it as Cursor's AI chat, but for your entire Mac. Designed for quick interactions: ask a question, get an answer, continue working.

#Invocation Methods

⌘⇧L

Global hotkey. Summons Lazzy at cursor position from anywhere.

Drag

Select text and drag slightly. Lazzy appears with context loaded.

×3

Triple-click anywhere for rapid invocation.

Voice

Coming soon. Speak to invoke and interact hands-free.

#Permissions

Accessibility Required

Detects cursor position, reads selected text, controls UI for automation. Standard for any automation tool on macOS.

Screen Recording Optional

Only needed if you want Lazzy to see your screen for visual context.

Automation Per-app

macOS prompts individually when Lazzy automates specific apps.

#AI Models

50+ models across providers:

OpenAI

GPT-4o, GPT-5, o3

Anthropic

Claude 3.7, 4.5

Google

Gemini 2.5, 3

Local

Ollama, LM Studio

Use hosted models with credits, or bring your own API keys (BYOK) for unlimited usage at cost.

#Privacy & Data

All conversations are stored locally on your Mac. We do not have access to your chat history.

What happens when you chat:

  1. Message sent to AI provider via encrypted connection
  2. Response streamed back to your device
  3. Both stored only on your local machine
  4. Providers configured for zero data retention

For complete privacy, use local models via Ollama — data never leaves your machine.

#Integrations & MCP

Supports Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting external tools and data sources.

800+ built-in integrations: Slack, Gmail, Notion, Linear, GitHub, and more.

#Automation

Lazzy is an agent that takes actions on your behalf:

  • Control mouse and keyboard
  • Navigate any macOS app
  • Automate browsers (Chrome, Safari, Arc)
  • Set up dev environments
  • File management

All automations require explicit permission. You see exactly what Lazzy does in real-time.

#Quick Actions

Reusable workflows with custom prompts. Appear on text selection or invocation:

  • Translate selected text
  • Summarize articles
  • Fix grammar and rewrite
  • Explain code
  • Custom prompts you define
